What would YOU like to see in the futurte of GW
I know there are alot of threads regarding speculation about Chapter 4 of Guild Wars, but this thread is for people to brainstorm, imagine and have fun with ideas and things they would like to see in Chapter 4. This could include themes, enemy types, skills, ANYTHING.
No flaming please, and no rants, have fun with the thread
Things PwnyRide would like to see:
Cavalry - it seems strange to me that such advanced cultures dont have a form of transport like this in-game. In fact the enly enemy i can think of that features a horse or cavalry of any kind is the necrid horseman.
So i think that Cavalry would be a good feature, for both player travel and roleplaying pruposes.
Theme ~ 1800's England:
Some would say that Prophecies touched this aspect in some ways, but after the searing, all that was nice was turned to dust.
I would like to see the old buildings, the stone paths, the old fashined street lights. Think horse and carts, stalls, barrels lying in the street and small laneways. Veering away from ANOTHER Kaineng. A city area thats not as sull scale as Kaineng, while trying not to veer too into the late century.
Night and Day cycles:
This would, essentially be featured in towns/outposts as well in explorable areas, but NOT in missions. For example if you have a mission such as, for example, Riverside Province, the whole stealth aspect wouldnt be so sneaky in borad daylight.
Limiting the cycles to outposts and explorable areas only would pervent storyline clashes.
Wather cycles:
I have read posts about weather changing in random parts of elona, suck as for example the Marga Coast, wehre it would drizzle for a short period of time.
This would however be different.
Sky effects would change with the weather, and a little icon pop up or a small message would appear on-screen to announce any weather changes.
This also, like the night clycles would not feature in missions to avoid storyline clashes.
Wind!!:
The lack of 'windy' areas in Guild Wars was sort of dissapointing for me personally.
Windy areas are often made apparent by 'dangly bits' on people armor (such as some kenchlaces, earrings and chains, largely apparent on ritualist armor) swaying on one direction or another.
i know it sounds silly but i like to see my earrings or 'dangly bits' (lol) dangle in the wind, its just a pretty effect to see.
Well that pretty much covers it for me, now i wana see what other people want in future releases of Guild Wars.
Now it's your turn
